Everyday items like lactic acid, glycolic acid, and household bleach can cause these reactions. To avoid irritation, it’s recommended to use products free from harsh antibacterial ingredients, fragrances, parabens, and alcohol. Wicked Aqua Sensitive Lubricant is a Glycerin and Paraben-Free formula enhanced with Aloe, Olive extracts, and Vitamin E, making it ideal for sensitive skin. It is hypoallergenic, latex-friendly, pH balanced, and dermatologist tested. The lubricant is smooth, non-sticky, and free from animal by-products or testing. To use, apply a small amount where needed and reapply as necessary. It cleans easily with water and comes in a 4 fl. oz/120ml size.

And though this increase may be caused by any number of things, the fact remains – sensitive skin is a real issue that can impact every inch of our bodies.
The exact definition of sensitive skin varies depending on who you ask. Generally, there are four distinct types: acne, rosacea, burning & stinging, and contact dermatitis (which refers to the skin’s rashy reaction to allergens and/or irritants). In the most intimate areas of our bodies, burning & stinging and contact dermatitis are the most common types of sensitive skin reactions.
During the course of normal everyday life, burning & stinging and contact dermatitis can be caused by fairly commonplace items touching your skin. Ingredients that are known to cause burning & stinging include lactic acid, azelaic acid, benzoic acid, glycolic acid, vitamin C, and alpha hydroxy acids. In terms of rashy contact dermatitis, allergens are things that you are actually allergic to versus irritants that just bother your skin (you may not technically be allergic to them). For example, household bleach is a skin irritant; fragrances, preservatives, and colors are common allergens.
If you have sensitive skin, consider avoiding products that contain harsh antibacterial ingredients, fragrances, parabens, and alcohol (including alcohol-based sugars like glycerin). A good rule of thumb is: the fewer the ingredients, the more skin-friendly a product likely is!
